Travel Information
Naples Capodichino International Airport has connections with major European cities.
From the airport, the main harbour of Molo Beverello can be reached by:
- ANM bus 3S connecting the airport via Napoli Centrale train station, every 15 minutes, ticket GiraNapoli Euro 0,77 to be purchased at bar, tobacco or news-stands inside the airport prior to boarding
- CLP bus connecting the airport to Piazza Municipio (facing the harbour), every 30 minutes, ticket Euro 1,55 on board
Alternatively, a taxi ride is about Euro 20.
Further, the yacht port of Mergellina can be reached by:
- ANM bus 3S connecting to Napoli Centrale train station, commute to Piazza Garibaldi station one level underground, take Metropolitana F.S. direction Pozzuoli, every 10 minutes, ticket GiraNapoli Euro 0.77 to be purchased at bar, tobacco or news-stands inside the station prior to boarding, get off after four stops at Mergellina, walk to port
Alternatively, a taxi ride is about Euro 30. For those travelling to Naples by train, it is faster and cheaper to reach Mergellina station other than Napoli Centrale station.
Yet, the harbour in the city of Pozzuoli can be reached by:
- ANM bus 3S connecting to Napoli Centrale train station, commute to Piazza Garibaldi station one level underground, take Metropolitana F.S. direction Pozzuoli, get off at last stop, walk to harbour
Alternatively, a taxi ride is about Euro 40.
Once in either of the above three ports, the island of Ischia can be reached from:
- Molo Beverello The following companies operate hydrofoil, catamaran or ferry-boat service
Prices range from Euro 5,42 to 12,40 and the ride is about 40 to 80 minutes. Last ride is at 21:30. First ride on return is at 6:00.
- Mergellina The following companies operate hydrofoil or catamaran service
Prices range from Euro 11,00 to 13,45 and the ride is about 30 to 40 minutes. Last ride is at 20:15. First ride on return is at 7:00.
- Pozzuoli The following companies operate ferry-boat service
Prices range from Euro 3,46 to 6,00 and the ride takes about 50 to 70 minutes. Last ride is at 22:00. First ride on return is at 4:00.
Please note that the island has three major ports: Ischia, Casamicciola and Forio. Either location is fine to reach Sant'Angelo, Forio being the closest and Ischia the farthest: a taxi ride ranges from Euro 25 to 40. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of the village which is all pedestrian. The hotels are all in walking distance. Should you carry heavy luggage, you can rent a porter with electric cart at about Euro 5.

Daily trips from the island to the city or either of the other islands of the gulf (Capri, Procida) are also possible, whereas daily excursions to locations on the main land (e.g. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Amalfi Coast) are not advised.
